Gravity Studio
Ascent Therapy Clinics is pleased to offer fitness classes in Colorado's first Gravity Studio
(and only one offered in a physical therapy clinic)
The Gravity Training System is a revolutionary piece of equipment that uses gravity as the resistance or assistive force and creates an effective way to increase cardio, strength and endurance, as reported on MSNBC.
ALL of our classes are carefully monitored by Physical Therapists and/or certified Gravity instructors to ensure safety and efficacy.
GRAVITY Classes
At our Littleton and DTC clinics, individuals can chose to participate in the fitness classes offered in Colorado's first GRAVITY Studio.
The Group class is a high energy way to increase cardio , strength, and endurance. The Pilates class adds a new twist to traditional Mat or Reformer classes to take your routine to a new level. The Launch class is perfect for individuals that are new to, or are returning to a fitness lifestyle and want to start out at a slower, more controlled pace.
HIT Intervals
The fundamental principles of High Intensity Training (HIT) are that exercise should be brief, infrequent, and intense. Exercises are performed with a high level of effort, or intensity, where it is thought that it will stimulate the body to produce an increase in muscular strength and size. Advocates of HIT believe that this method is superior for strength and size building than most other methods which, for example, may stress lower weights with larger volume (reps).
As strength increases, HIT techniques will have the weight/resistance increased progressively where it is thought that it will provide the muscles with adequate overload to stimulate further improvements. In HIT, it is known that there is an inverse relationship between how intensely and how long one can exercise. As a result, high intensity workouts are generally kept brief.
Ski Conditioning Circuit
Offered at our Littleton office, this is a workout designed around a circuit of 30+ stations, in 1- minute intervals, accompanied by music. There is 10-15 seconds between stations and there is a "bonus" feature following each class that varies including: dumbbell matrix, thera-band session, Pilates focus exercise or cardio conditioning.
The program is designed by physical therapists, experts in sports and function, to address and improve overall cardio-vascular endurance as well as strength, balance and coordination. The progress and intensity are determined by each individual's level of fitness, exercise tolerance and motivation. Physical therapists or exercise specialists will participate, allowing them to monitor your workout and answer any questions you may have.
Pilates
At Ascent, we have multiple Pilates Instructors trained through PHI Pilates that are eager to get you started.
Pilates Mat: Improve balance, flexibility, strength and posture. Strengthen and tone while increasing metabolism, circulation and mental clarity. The Pilates method incorporates proper breathing techniques with slow controlled movement. Perfect for all ages and fitness levels. Private and semi- private classes are offered. Sessions are one hour.
Pilates Gravity: Receive the same benefits of mat Pilates while using the Gravity towers as resistance or assistance. Similar to the traditional reformer, the Gravity tower uses pulleys, straps and a moving glide board to promote torso stability and postural alignment while working limbs in a controlled range of motion. The eight different incline levels allow for progressive resistance that help to lengthen and strengthening, rather than build bulk. Sessions are one hour.
Golf Fitness Evaluation
A comprehensive physical evaluation of your posture, balance, strength and flexibility is performed and analyzed to provide the individual with a specific golf-conditioning program targeted at their unique weaknesses and deficiencies. A specific exercise routine can help maximize your golf swing and improve distance, accuracy and endurance, as well as decrease the risk of injury.
The program philosophy is based on the following key concepts:
- A golfer’s physical characteristics have a direct, functional relationship to his/her swing mechanics.
- Proper treatment and/ or physical training can improve and/or correct the weaknesses interfering with proper swing, and can therefore improve performance.
As a participant in the Golf fitness evaluation program, you will learn what mobility and weakness restrictions are interfering with your progress. A customized exercise and fitness program will be designed to meet your individual performance needs. Furthermore, you will receive a videotape with your swing faults as well as a review of your exercise program for easier future reference.
Boot Camp

shape. The Fall Boot Camp is guaranteed to
WORK YOUR BUTT OFF! It is a
weekly circuit training class with 40
stations that incorporate
cardiovascular exercise with specific
toning exercises targeted at your
core, arms, legs, abs, glutes, and
back. The program was designed by a
physical therapist to ensure proper
form and function.

Senior Fall Prevention
A class to improve bone density, balance, and strength. Decrease the likelihood of falling by improving activities such as: walking, stairs, sitting, standing, bending, and balancing. This class is customized to meet individual needs. Tell us what you or your loved one is struggling with and our team of trainers and therapists will help to improve function!
The class is 45 minutes and limited to 5 people. Class structure varies based upon individual needs, but always includes a total body workout that is low to zero impact. Strengthen the legs, back, abdominals, hips, and arms! Improve posture through education and postural exercises. Conquer your fears with others who struggle with the same concerns. Increase confidence to live the life you desire!
Spin Fit
This class combines an unbelievable fitness circuit and spinning bikes all
in one kick butt workout! Never done a
spinning class, no worries! Everyone works
at their own level
(with a push from us, of
course). It is a perfect way to jumpstart
your Metabolism and get in shape!

Ride and Glide
This is a hour long class that focuses the first half of the class on upper body with the Gravity towers, Then switches to cardio on the spin bikes for the other half. You get the best of both
worlds in this class; strength and cardio!
